Here is a description of restructured text.

Now we can begin adding content just by typing it in. For seperate paragraphs, you just keep some whitespace between one paragraph and the next.

For italics, you just enclose the text you want to put into italics with asterisks at each end, and for bold text you place two stars at each end.
